Locations: Dwinelle Hall, the Valley Life Sciences Building & Wheeler Hall (enter campus through Sather Gate & take right)
- Check In/Register: 7:25 am in front of Wheeler Hall
- Bring your completed waiver or you may not participate.
- Judge Orientation: 7:45 am in front of Wheeler Hall

- Lunch: between 2nd & 3rd round (12:30-2:15 pm)
- Novice: 4 Preliminary rounds – round 1 at ca. 9 am
- Open: 5 Preliminary rounds – round 1 at ca. 8 am

- Sunday, 10/15 from 9 am to 6 pm – Dwinelle Hall only

- Speaker Awards followed by Championship rounds.

- The best free option is street parking, but those usually last 8 hours maximum.
Tournament Prep (optional):
- Friday, 10/13 from 3 – 6 pm
- Hillview Middle School – Room G4
- Arriving late and leaving early ok
- Bring a device for online prep
Participation Requirements:
- Students need permission from Coach Brier to attend.
- Students must register by the deadline.
- All fees must be paid by Thursday, 10/12/17.
- Judging Requirement: Each TEAM needs to have 1 adult, who will be available to judge all rounds.
- Judges need to be available: Sat. 10/14 from 7 am – 11 pm and Sun. 10/15 from 9 am – 6 pm.
- Guardian Requirement: 1 adult may the Guardian of 4 Debaters. Each Debater needs to have 1 adult present, who will be responsible for them while at the tournament. The Guardian does not have to be a parent.
Fees:
- Per Student (covers entry, if applicable hired judge, Coach’s lodging & time):
- Providing Judge: $100
- Hiring Judge: $150
- Hotel: $TBD
- Late Fee: $30
- No refunds for dropping out!
